Sri Lanka Child Care is dedicated to empowering Sri Lanka’s children through education. By providing education for children in poor villages, we supply the basis for a route to a better life for a new generation.

The 2004 Tsunami caused widespread devastation, loss of life and disruption of critical infrastructure. Hundreds of educational facilities were destroyed and the education system collapsed.

Sri Lanka Child Care is the brainchild of Keith Denson. It began in 2005 when Keith and his wife Daphne returned from Sri-Lanka after helping to support children made destitute by the Tsunami. While they were in Sri-Lanka It became obvious to them that the support they were giving was only the tip of the iceberg and that thousands of children whose families were affected by the Tsunami would need support for many years to come. This is how Sri-Lanka-Child-Care was born.
